Yea! a proper place to ask this...Ive never seen this place before... I posted this question over in the skins forum, and several people have been kind enough to try and help me... this promotion box thing...I cant get it to put a image in it....the last response I got was from chris and he informed me that I needed to have my image in one of my yuku folders...I tried this several times, with several different images....but still all I get is the yuku smiley... thanks |

you also have to go to your community info page and select the avatar for it to show.

to be even more clear...
my profile one doesn't work either... and i believe that one just uses your avatar, so theres nothing i could screw up there.... my gallery one's do show an image...and i was going to put the code here to show that....but now the code that used to be to the right, is gone...its just a completely blank area to the right of the little blue promote your gallery's box. so im thinking this whole promote box thing is just utterly glitchy.... |

i finally got it to work....i dont recall reading anywhere that you can't use a JPEG image for the picture...but that is the case...I changed the image to
GIF now it works fine.

Click on Navigation - Admin Menu - Settings - Info.
Then in the blue bar, click on Promote at the end. You can promote any boards where you are the owner ("Communities"); and you can also promote profiles and galleries. |

I don't know that it shows up anywhere on yuku, but you can use the code generated to promote your community/profile/gallery on other sites.
For example, I have used them in my yuku profile, my ezboard profile and my profile on another site. |

I am having the same problem it seems. I used the 'Promote My Community' page to get the code to display the blue
promotion box to promote my forum. I have added the code to my profile but my avatar doesnt show up in the blue box. I have selected it on the info page also.
Any ideas ?
Also it says the avatar must be 150X75 pixels but the box is 150x150, so which size do we really need to use ? Emma xoxoxoxo

Hi Emma,
To add an image for your community avatar, go to the Info section of your admin control panel and add the URL for your community avatar in the blank, then click 'Submit'. It will tell you there what size the community avatar should be (150 width x 75 height). |
